You might want to distribute this to your friends. ICC is seeking nominations for the "Elected Official of the Year". The Elected Official of the Year Award will be given to an elected governmental official who has made significant contributions to building safety. Past recipients have included senators, and an assemblyman. The deadline for nominations is February 23, 2012. For more information, click here. ICC is seeking nominations for ICC Raising the Profile Award. The Raising the Profile Award will be given to an individual or organization whose acts or contributions have raised the public awareness of the work accomplished by code enforcement personnel to improve public safety in the built environment. The deadline for nominations is February 23, 2012. For more information, click here. ICC is seeking proposals for presentation for two education programs at the 2012 Annual Conference. We are looking for presenters who are interested in addressing an audience of code officials, inspectors, plans examiners, fire officials, city managers, engineers, architects, and others related to the code enforcement industry. The deadline for submittals is March 2, 2012. Visit the ICC website for more information on submittals. Beginning March 10, 2012, ICC will offer paper-and-pencil exams based on the 2006, 2009 and 2012 International Codes. The 2012 code-based exams will be available via paper-and-pencil testing throughout 2012, and via computer testing beginning in July. The 2009 code-based exams will be available via paper-and-pencil or computer-based testing through at least June 2012 with exceptions noted in the bulletin. Registration for the ICC code committee hearings to be held in Dallas, TX beginning on Sunday, April 26, is open. Click here to begin the registration process.
